OT Josh Jones Houston (@UHCougarFB)
Ascending player who is excellent on pulls & 2nd level blocks. Skillful mirror ability & solid w/ punch. Late 1st rd. on development alone. #BrawlNetwork #2020NFLDraft pic.twitter.com/vzOYir6FFp
Jones is always looking to bury LBs once he gets to the 2nd level. Makes strong contact to overpower them pic.twitter.com/oLnptL3sQR

Combine
#Houston OT Josh Jones didn't blow a pass block or allow a pressure in the last two years of CFB per @SportsInfo_SIS.
— Peter Bukowski (@Peter_Bukowski) March 2, 2020
Jones was the highest graded group of 5 OT in the @PFF era.
Met with #Packers at the combine.
Josh Jones is a OT prospect in the 2020 draft class out of Houston.

He posted a good #RAS with okay size, okay speed, good explosiveness, at the OT position.https://t.co/DRorh4ZRag pic.twitter.com/QqVYf3o5nG
Excited to watch #Houston OT Josh Jones in testing and on-field drills today. Many are expecting him to test well as an athletic blocker. pic.twitter.com/wnTGIhWbeO

Pre Combine
The best opponent Josh Jones faced this past season was Oklahoma (I don't think Houston faced any great edge rusher prospects all year) and he ate them alive. Physically dominant performance, especially in pass protection.
— Jon Ledyard (@LedyardNFLDraft) February 21, 2020
I have yet to find the good film on him! Watched four games and I see a solid Group of 5 player with good, but not elite athleticism for the NFL. If his Combine is Dillard-level we have a different conversation but I don't think it's going to be.
— Benjamin Solak (@BenjaminSolak) February 15, 2020
A bit raw, but I’m a big fan. Needs a couple tweaks to his pass set, but he has traits that translate well to become a starting LT. An Ideal fit in a zone blocking scheme.

Love his fit in CLE, MIA, or MIN. https://t.co/0LivTFOnIL
Senior Bowl
Josh Jones, OT, Houston: Hes just crazy talented in pass pro. Feet, balance, quickness, pop in his hands, length. His technique isn’t always perfect and he still finds ways to get wins. Finishes too. Footwork needs to improve in run game. I think he goes Round 1

#Houston OT Josh Jones is the type of tackle that has tremendous upside because of the little subtle things that he already does.

Saw a rep from Houston OL Josh Jones today where he climbed to the second level on a block in a hurry, keeping a linebacker at bay.
— Carmen Vitali (@CarmieV) January 22, 2020
Really think he’s the standout OL prospect here in Mobile.
North Practice Film Notes:
— Jonah Tuls (@JonahTulsNFL) January 22, 2020
- Troy Pride Jr. and Denzel Mims were lights out in the 1on1’s yesterday.
- Josh Uche had a great day in coverage.
- Josh Jones and Matt Hennessy were the two best OL of the group.
Josh Jones reminds me a lot of Andre Dillard. Tall, athletic, easy moving pass blocker.

Great measurements for him. Ideal fit in a zone blocking scheme. He could be a potential 1st-round pick with a great week at the Senior Bowl.
