CJ Henderson, CB, Florida
Post Combine
CJ Henderson CB @GatorsFB 6 3/4, 204, Ran 4.39 VG press CB. He plays at that speed. Plays zone well too. His DB drill work at the Combine was better than Jeff Okudah. High 1st rd pick value @NFLDraft @nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/hoHIym3rBd

How did the top cornerbacks in the 2020 draft class fare versus the most dangerous routes, compared to first-round corners in recent years? pic.twitter.com/zBCjXoGT7Z

Here is Henderson again triggering. His keys told him its a run. He's not hesitant. He shoots. Up field shoulder so back cant bounce outside. Takes away that outside. Back has no choice but to go straight even though its not there. I like the mind set pic.twitter.com/uIqXQg1cZf

Hug the line of scrimmage. Check with the ref. Don’t line up and give space. Take it away as much as possible. Make the ref tell you to get back pic.twitter.com/y1kNsTaTMI

His first step is backwards... which ultimately allows the receiver to push vertical with no resistance. How about using more of a kick step to move laterally so you dictate the route. The receiver just runs straight. I can’t allow that #BeGreat pic.twitter.com/NNluKNHDZ0

Off coverage. Receiver initially gets a step on him. No big deal when you run 4.39. And this is why I value this kinda speed for my CB1 guy. Just makes life easier. No panic pic.twitter.com/Hql0la7yPZ

Shadowing Chase. In the slot. He’s definitely comfortable in press alignment on the outside or slot. Good versatility to have when looking for a potential CB1 for your squad. The ability to line up inside or outside vs any type of receiver. Added value pic.twitter.com/FMqGva2kmn

He also doesn't compete in the air at the catch point nearly enough, which bothers me. His best gift is deterring throws from ever happening in the first place because he can mirror so well. Ball skills are so-so, but pretty patient in press and can recover in a flash.

If you have a boundary CB that is tough and fast... Don’t be afraid to get him into backfields too!

The best man coverage CB in this group outside of Okudah. Super fluid, light feet, and very aware in coverage. Tackling is an issue, but I think it’s him more of not knowing how to do it. https://t.co/z57fro3yjT

Okudah, Henderson, and Gladney. All 3 are excellent man cover corners. https://t.co/zS5W3ur9Vo
