Mac Jones, QB, Alabama
Post Combine
Mac Jones is a QB prospect in the 2021 draft class. He scored a 7.2 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 230 out of 817 QB from 1987 to 2021. https://t.co/pofWuyKWfC #RAS via @Mathbomb pic.twitter.com/YYhNcaLZ4k

DJ: Regarding Mac Jones, he has the accuracy, decision-making and poise, but doesn't have a lot of twitch. Isn't very dynamic to create or escape. Doesn't have a big, power arm. When things aren't going to be perfect in front of him, thinks he's going to have a hard time.

.@AlabamaFTBL @MacJones_10 has everything it takes to be a starting QB in the #NFL. They still win Super Bowls from the pocket! Who else thinks so? #nfldraft #rolltide #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/RIxTkeDyw5

Just because he's not an escape artist, don't say Mac Jones doesn't have elite physical traits. He has unbelievable feet and a tremendous arm. And on top of it, he's a more consistent thrower than Trevor Lawrence.

For a QB—it’ll always be better to have a fast mind than fast feet. @MacJones_10 may not be “fast” but he plays that way... pic.twitter.com/Bm1VvB1Vro

The opposite happens too, though. This clip from @QBKlass was used for Mac Jones, but at the bottom of the screen you can see 6 be driven to the sideline

Smith simply fails to reset hand position/leverage. He got caught. To me, his fluidity/positioning combo vs press is a ++ pic.twitter.com/96wxVAdZCm
THIS THIS THIS. Every game I watch of @MacJones_10 I like him more and more and more pic.twitter.com/yYLEMBtrGe

Jaylen Waddle makes it very clear.

He prefers Mac Jones over Tua.

Mac Jones has thrown some magnificent passes during red zone drills during afternoon #SeniorBowl practice. Great pass placement.

I've said it before but when it comes do doing "quarterback things".. Anticipation throws, working the pocket... Nobody in this class is better at it than Mac Jones. pic.twitter.com/L9eQZLcPpk

It's not a clean comparison, but:

First post of a few this week looking at Alabama QB Mac Jones. In this piece, I took an in depth look at both the good and bad from his performance against Georgia. https://t.co/sTB0LndffE

The more I watch Mac Jones — @MacJones_10 — play, the more impressed I become

His play at the @seniorbowl and in the @CFBPlayoff cemented his draft position. He has a floor of the #8 overall pick (@Panthers) pic.twitter.com/cVkc23EXVK
Ok I’m confused. I just finished watching Mac Jones. His season was incredible. His tape is better than Tua’s was andI loved Tua coming out. It was a Burrow-esque leap of a season. Why isn’t Jones getting more hype???
