Watching #NotreDame TE Cole Kmet vs. #Georgia...

Good look at the route tree he will run in the #NFL — seams, flood concepts, crossers off play-action, stick routes.
Can play in-line or flex from the formation.

This is almost identical to the 2nd play shown above. Lined up in slot again, he stretches down field, running past the LB. With two guys around him, he makes the catch with the safety in his face and holds onto the ball for a big gain. pic.twitter.com/O5FlKHh2tS
'Ability to stretch field'

Here you see Kmet get a free release off LOS and explode out of his stance downfield. He's able to fight off the LB and then runs right past him and makes an athletic catch downfield for a big gain. pic.twitter.com/sswkoxDZuu
Cole Kmet had a higher vertical, farther broad jump, and faster shuttle time than Jerry Jeudy despite outweighing him by 70 pounds

Pre Combine
I like Cole Kmet. Good size. Stretch seam. Efficient blocker. I hope he becomes a Hall of Famer

But I do not see any scenario where he goes in 1st 32 picks - nor 1st TE selected..
Is there a tape I need to watch to fall in love? Or a 9th inning jam he escaped? Show me the ‘wow’
Some thoughts/concerns on Notre Dame TE Cole Kmet vs Georgia:
— Jon Ledyard (@LedyardNFLDraft) January 30, 2020
-part of 3 false start penalties (team issue?)
-two drops with contact near catch point
-slow into his route breaks and tipped off multiple patterns, 2 of which were jumped
-huge catch radius and frame is 👀
Senior Bowl
I won't have a first-round grade on Kmet, but it wouldn't shock me at all if he goes late on Day 1.

It's hard to find players with his size and ball skills.
Against Georgia gives a quick snapshot of Notre Dame TE Cole Kmet’s overall skill set.

He won’t win too many foot races, but he’s a big target that’s reliable in the underneath areas and down the seams. pic.twitter.com/52Hy7zUG8S
