2018 Fanasy Football Week 3: Top 10 Rankings and Predictions
10.) Josh Gordon, WR, Patriots
He\\'s on my "IDK Stock on Player" List. Gordon has had one catch this season for a TD in the Browns week 1 Tie with the Pittsburg Steelers
People in the know have said that Josh Gordon is in an elite athletic tier with only Julio Jones and the rest of the league is beneath them. Belichick and Brady have wrangled in a ton of Bad Boy Wideouts over the years and some bought in (randy moss) and others couldn\\'t be treated like 85% of a person. (Ochocinco had to change his name). Target share in New England presumably exists on some split continuum of 1.) The clicky “mean girls” esque coalition that Tom Brady, Alex Guerro and anyone else who has daddy issues and wants to rebel against Bill Belichick have established (Safe zone?) and 2.) Those living in fear of Belichick but still doing his bidding in a Star Wars or Mafia or Gang type of way to earn respect and targets.
Anywho, Gordon could be a stud on a team that is overdue for a random winning streak and could use a superstar on offense to take the pressure off of Brady. So far this season, Brady has had to create with a bunch of former Rutgers lacrosse players playing wideout. However, there is always a predictable and suspicious feeling with Gordon that he’s always on the verge of getting suspended for 2 years. An AFC Exec said he would be surprised if Gordon caught over 20 passes in New England.
A bunch of weird reports about Brady and Belichick having marital problems have been surfacing for the time being, but Tom knows that Bill is the best coach in the league and they both just want to win so I find it hard to believe that either of them truly wants a divorce. At this point they should start trying new and exciting things to spice it up and see if they can stick it out for the kids (fans).
9.) Will Dissly, TE, Seahawks
Waiver Wire Alert:
2018 Stats over 2 games:
6 Receptions, 147 Yards, 24.5 per play (Longest was 66 yards), 2 TD\\'s
Great grit story of a 4th round rookie blocking tight end coming in and earning Russel Wilsons trust to the point where he called him a “rockstar.”
Russ is definitely a Jim Jones Cult-leader type guy who praises people all of the time but the numbers back it up and all of my chips are in on Diss-Lethal TE that you might still be able to get if you play in a 10 person league or everyone in your league thinks its still 2013. Pick him up and start him with confidence.
8.) Any Buccaneers WR While Fitzmagic is playing
Buccaneers: WR Chris Godwin, TE O.J. Howard, WR Desean Jackson. As long as Ryan Fitzmagic is starting at QB, i’ve seen enough to start any of his top 3 recievers or TE with confidence.
The Harvard grad Fitzpatrick is playing out of his mind right now with 78.7% completion percentage, 819 yards, 8 TDS, 1 INT, QBR 151.5 over two games. With incumbent starting QB Jamies Winston serving a 3 game suspension the Bucs will definitely start Fitzpatrick for atleast week 3. However, it is possible that Fitspatricks on-fire play this season will force the 205 no. 1 overall pick to watch and learn from the bench this season.
Buy stock in this offense for this week at least.
7.) Broncos: Royce Freeman Blows, Phillip Lindsay Rocks.
Value accordingly and see if you can scoop our boy P Linds if you haven’t yet. The Broncos offense has pulled through to lead the team to 2-0 but still was caught up by an inferior Raiders defense for the better part of 3 quarters in week 2. As long as Vance Joseph is the head coach it is hard for me to be too optimistic about the Mile High offense but still grab a stud on the waiver wire when you get the chance. He\\'s a rookie in a wide open backfield with 215 yards from scrimmage over 2 games and a touchdown to his credit. Buy in on Lindsay and WR Emmanual Sanders, but otherwise not the Broncos.
6.) Team Stock Down, Player Stock Up: Lions, Raiders
The Lions are snitching on Matt Patricia for being “Remember the Titans” esque and stirring up the pot and being stern in training camp. This creative difference style conflict is nothing we havent seen this season with Jon Gruden blowing up the Raiders roster and threatening anyone whos pretending like its not 1998.
Despite the Lions and Raiders looking unimpressive so far they both have players I like.
Not to be positionist but i’ve focusing on RB’s, so
Marshawn Lynch
Kerryon Johnson.
Marshawn has been fiesty this year in an offense that has otherwise seeming like a black hole in the attitude department.
Kerryon Johnson is the best back on a team that I believe will bounce back to offensive relavancy with QB Matt Stafford at the helm
5.) Team Stock uP, PLayer STock Down; PLayer stock up: Eagles, Jay Ajayi and Corey Clement
Jay Ajayi down, Corey Clement Up
Carson Wentz coming back in week 3 and shredding up defenses like the bad guy from the Ninja Turtles is good for everybody in the offense, especially flashy RB Corey Clement. Jay Ajayi however, hate to break it, has bone on bone knee. Heard it here first the thing is gonna blow up in 3 weeks max.
I hate to be a hater and I’d prefer to have nobody in my stock down colomns. However, sometimes you gotta call a duck a duck and thats just how the cookie crumbles.
4.) Team Stock Down, Player Stock Down: Cardinals, Redskins
Larry Fitzgerald, WR: Old and Hurt and has nobody to throw him the ball.
David Johnson, RB, Has no apparent offensively’ motivated coach. The Cards O line and QB situation has been bad through the first 2 weeks. Lets see if they can bounce byke.
Similarly: Washington Redskins
Stock Down on Adrian Peterson, RB, Alex Smith QB
I know it\'s early to call it quits on the Redskins but week 2’s loss against the Colts was simply a realistic reminder of the combined age between this starting rb and qb is 69. Not that that’s not an awesome omen but they’re old and it showed. Might be time to officially accuse Jay Gruden of being on a warm plate that eventually prepares him for the hot seat.
3.) Team Stock IDK, Player Stock IDK
Seems redundant right? I\'m high on these guys in my gut but I don\'t know if the logic is there.
DJ Moore, WR Carolina
High on him for a lot of reasons. Lack of other options in offense, being very athletic and undervalued in most leagues at 10th round ADP at the earliest. If he can hang on to all of the wildly overthrown balls Cam throws him (Not being a hater, I’m a Cam guy) he should hypothetically be a snag if he catches at least 70 yards give or take a touchdown a week as the number one downfield option on an offense that lives and dies by the big play to stay in the game.
Joe Flacco, QB Ravens
Flacc is black baby and he’s got an entirely new pass catching corps to show you that Lamar Jackson is gonna have to sit on the bench for a while. Why? Because elite quarterbacks don’t concede Qb competitions.
2.) 49ers team stock up and players stock up, down:
WR Dante Pettis Up, WR Peirre Garcon Up, RB Alf Morris Down.
I believe in Garrop and Kyle Shan to whip something together this week against a weak Chiefs secondary. The team around garoppolo is much better than it was last year when he played “Brady-esque” and led the team of losers to a 5 game win streak.
With Marquise Goodwin being a pussy and sitting out this week the other wideouts in the city of gays have a chance to show out. Dante Pettis is fast and a good route runner but we’ll see if we can get Jimmy G ‘s head back down to earth. He’s too hot for his own good and i’m afraid that with hot porn stars DMing him and without Brady allegedly not calling him once a week anymore to ask “How he’s gotten better” he’s starting to feel like an instagram model who just gets paid to fly places and look hot and get wrestled with a bunch of rich guys.
1.) Parting Shots:
Trade for Kirk Cousins early if you can.
Jimmy Graham could develop special Drew Brees Like rapport with Aaron Rodgers
James White is still the back to own in new england
The Power Rankings are 1.) Rams 2.) Jags 3.) Vikes.
Coincidence that those are the best three defenses in the league? Defense wins championships in real life and in fantasy people. Look to see if you can target owners of these defenses in trades for their other players and then last minute say you want them to throw in their defense Draft Day Kevin Spacey style.
