Clevane Gillespie of Chesterfield, VA, just outside Richmond where the Redskins host their annual training camp, has challenged any Redskins player or coach to pay homage to his yard and they will be rewarded with a customized section.
His yard first gained some notoriety back in 2015 when the Redskins website posted an article on it as well as a few other capital J journalists but he is now back and trying to get some love from his team. He claims to be the Redskins #1 fan and since last year’s passing of the beloved Chief Zee (RIP in peace) who’s to say he isn’t. Gillespie said he puts over $1000 a year into his yard and will sometimes work from 6 am – 9 pm (nice) which is more money than I have and more time than I have ever put into anything in my entire life. So I tip my hat and bid you better luck next year, sir.
Now that the Skins are back to practicing at Redskins Park in Ashburn, I’d say his chances of getting a player to make the trip are pretty slim and our man Clevane should be pissed at Mitch Carr and Channel 8 for not getting this story out when the team was still in the Richmond area. Su’a Cravens posted a tweet asking for his address but based on Cravens’ tweet the other day
he probably doesn’t even have a car to get there, even if he wanted to make this retired landscaper’s day.Never buy a car from @EASTERNMOTORS ! They will screw you over with damaged vehicles. TRUST ME. They're supposed to be our team sponsor SMH
