UPDATE: Last week was a low point for me…I can’t remember the last time I lost two games on back door covers so late in the game like I did with WVU v. Baylor and USF v. Tulane but that is what you risk when you make bets. I’ve taken my time to recuperate and let all the bad JuJu out, and I am ready to get back to the winning streak this week. I know I have started off on a rough streak, but my goal from now till the end of the season is to get above .500 and finish the season strong.
Louisville (5-3) @ Wake Forest (4-3) Lou -3.0
Louisville is back to their winning ways when they kicked a game winning field goal with seconds on the clock just after giving up a 14 point lead in the second half to Florida St. Lamar Jackson is single handily carrying this team to victory and once again on Saturday, he will be the best athlete/player on the field. Wake Forest is coming off a tough loss to a really good Georgia Tech team but it came down to who had the better athletes. After giving up 500 yards and almost 30 first downs, Wake Forest doesn’t have enough on defense to stop a Lamar Jackson if they couldn’t stop a TaQuon Marshall. I’m taking Louisville -3.0 in this game.
Houston (4-3) @ USF (7-0) USF -11.0
South Florida is still unbeaten still and are currently ranked 17th in the nation. Yeah the screwed me last week ATS but I like them to make it up to me this week against a struggling Houston. Quinton Flowers is the real deal and I wouldn’t be surprised if this team went 11-0. The Bulls are now 4-1 ATS in their last 5 and this game is being played at home which they are 3-0 in their last 3 home games ATS. Houston blew a 1st half lead at home to a better than average Memphis team and they were blown out by a bad Tulsa team when they were on the road. I expect this losing streak to continue and USF to cover the spread again. Let’s go Charlie Boy
Texas (3-4) @ Baylor (0-7) Tex. -8.0
Texas is coming off another heartbreaking loss to Oklahoma St. and now that makes back to back losses to both Oklahoma teams. That has to put a bad taste in your mouth and they’re going to want to take it out on someone. They look miles better than when they played their opening game against Maryland and they are still fighting to become bowl eligible. I like what Tom Herman is doing, he has his players competing and I really think he’s going to establish Texas as a countries best very soon again. Baylor screwed me last week by scoring 25 unanswered points in the 4th quarter and almost coming back and beating WVU at home. Kudos to them for playing hard still when they could have easily cashed this season in. Sooner than later, they’re going to just give up, and this game might be that game. I am taking Texas -7.5
