6: Los Angeles Lakers
PG: D'angelo Russell
SG: Jordan Clarkson
SF: Brandon Ingram
PF: Kevin Durant
C: Julius Randle
While the Lakers don't look too enticing now, they have the cap space to sign KD to a max contract, with enough left over for almost 2 more max players. They also will get Brandon Ingram and a more developed core of Russell and Randle.
5: Boston Celtics
PG: Isaiah "Pizza Guy" Thomas
SG: Avery Bradley
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Jae Crowder
C: Kelly Olynyk
Boston's starting 5 doesn't look sexy, and leaves one to wonder why Kevin Durant would want to go up north. Well, Boston's strength is really in their depth. They have about 9 or 10 starting caliber players. Those players, along with the #3 overall pick in this years draft should be packaged to add another big time superstar like Demarcus Boogie Cousins.
4: Miami Heat
PG: Goran Dragic
SG: Dwayne Wade
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Chris Bosh
C: Hassan Whiteside
The Miami heat are always in the running for free agent superstars. Their lineup is capable of competing for the Eastern Conference Championship now, but adding Durant would make them legendary. For this to happen, Miami must find a way to retain Hassan Whiteside or risk making KD play at a stretch 4 position for extended minutes.
3: Los Angeles Clippers
PG: Chris Paul
SG: J.J Redick
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Blake Griffin
C: Deandre Jordan
For Kevin Durant to come to LA, the Clippers will need to release one of their big three players. It is unlikely that Chris Paul will be moved, and Deandre Jordan is a good piece with a solid contract. Blake Griffin has worn out his welcome in LA, and will need to pack his bags in case Durant wants to play for Doc Rivers.
2: Golden State Warriors
PG: Steph Curry
SG: Klay Thompson
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Andre Iguodala
C: Draymond Green
Okay, this will never happen. Especially considering the series they just played where much bad blood was spilt on both sides. Curry is on an expiring contract, as is Harrison Barnes. Barnes will likely not be resigned, but that will not clear enough cap for Durant to come play for the Warriors. If this does come to fruition however it wouldn't be insane for commissioner Adam Silver to block this move from going through as it creates an unlevel playing field.
1: Washington Wizards
PG: John Wall
SG: Bradley Beal
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Nene
C: Marcin Gortat
The most likely scenario to happen. Washington doesn't have as much talent as his old OKC team, but it is likely that Durant will want to go back to his home city, of which he has tattoos of local D.C sports teams on his body. Durant signing in Washington will elevate John Wall's game and give Beal a chance to spread out the court. Look for other free agents to follow suit if Durant comes home.
