2016 MLB Mock Draft

Austin Vershel

With The #1 Pick, the Phillies Select

A.J Puk, LHP Florida

#1 LHP, #1 Overall

Puk stands a redonkulous 6 foot 7 (shout out to Rick Leonard and Lil Wayne) and can consistently top out in the high 90's. Look for Puk to go straight to the league to improve Phillies poor rotation.

With The #2 Pick, the Reds Select

Kyle Lewis, OF Mercer

#1 OF, #2 Overall

Lewis is the best hitter in the class, and the Reds could use some offensive firepower.

With The #3 Pick, the Braves Select

Jason Groome, LHP High School

#2 LHP, #3 Overall

Groome too stands at an alarming 6 foot 5. The skinny kid put on 15 pounds the summer, so I'm not saying he is on steroids but I'm not saying he's not on steroids.

With The #4 Pick, the Rockies Select

Nick Senzel, 3B Tennessee

#1 3B, #4 Overall

Senzel is the closest thing this draft class has to a 5-tool player. If he can improve his hitting, watch out!

With The #5 Pick, the Brewers Select

Corey Ray, OF Louisville

#2 OF, #5 Overall

Some consider Ray to be the best hitter in this class, Ray has great defensive skills.

With The #6 Pick, the Athletics Select

Riley Pint, RHP High School

#1 RHP, #6 Overall

Return of the righties. Look for moneyball to add some young talent to their pitching rotation.

With The #7 Pick, the Marlins Select

Matt Manning, RHP High School

#2 RHP, #7 Overall

Pitchers usually dominate the top half of the first round, look for this trend to continue as this is a deep class.

With The #8 Pick, the Padres Select

Cal Quantrill, RHP Stanford

#3 RHP, #8 Overall

More Righties! Firstly, Quantrill is an awesome name. It's even more trill that he got into Stanford fr fr.

With The #9 Pick, the Tigers Select

Mickey Moniak, OF High School

#3 OF, #9 Overall

Tigers get some help in their outfield. Moniak could easily be a top 5 selection.

With The #10 Pick, the White Sox Select

Justin Dunn, RHP Boston College

#4 RHP, #10 Overall

Black pitcher alert! The white sox see their neighbor Cubs having success with a strong rotation and attempt to emulate their roster.

With The #11 Pick, the Mariners Select

Dakota Hudson, RHP Mississippi State

#5 RHP, #11 Overall

With The #12 Pick, the Red Sox Select

Delvin Perez, SS International

#1 SS, #12 Overall

Perez has the most upside of anyone in this class and may become a 5 tool player.

With The #13 Pick, the Rays Select

Braxton Garrett, LHP High School

#3 LHP, #13 Overall

With The #14 Pick, the Indians Select

Josh Lowe, 3B High School

#2 3B, #14 Overall

With The #15 Pick, the Twins Select

Blake Rutherford, OF High School

#4 OF, #15 Overall

With The #16 Pick, the Angels Select

Forrest Whitley, RHP High School

#6 RHP, #16 Overall

Another 6-7 pitcher.

With The #17 Pick, the Astros Select

Zack Collins, C Miami

#1 C, #17 Overall

The Astros are finally kinda relevant again. Yay!

With The #18 Pick, the Yankees Select

Alex Kirilloff, OF High School

#5 OF, #18 Overall

With The #19 Pick, the Mets Select

Will Craig, 3B Wake Forest

#3 3B, #19 Overall

Mets have a hole at 3b.

With The #20 Pick, the Dodgers Select

Ian Anderson, RHP High School

#7 RHP, #20 Overall

With The #21 Pick, the Blue Jays Select

Matt Thaiss, C Virginia

#2 C, #21 Overall

With The #22 Pick, the Pirates Select

Zack Burdi, RHP Louisville

#8 RHP, #22 Overall
